Private Property Rights

 

Cascade County faces numerous potential, property rights issues. These issues can arise stirring an individual position and a county-wide position. Regardless by the mean of presentation, it is imperative that private property owners are involved, and all processes are transparent. Private property and property rights should never be leveraged for gain by an entity or individual other than the private property owner and their family.

State and federal designations bring out of state influences and organizations (NGO’s, Foundations), affecting the county’s tax base and taking private property down a path of unwanted taxation, unwanted regulations, lack of accountability and influence use of our natural resources.  One fatal impact is their potential effect on the life support system of Montanans.

 

Three such proposed designations of private property within our area are Big Sky Country National Heritage Area, 30 x 30 Initiative (advanced by Biden’s Executive Order 14008) and the American Prairie Reserve.
